10 Site Redesign Notice

- tagged

This is not my actual commentary about the redesign this is just a notice that it's happened.  10 has been given a design refresh!  Its late and I'm tired but I had to get it out.  Notice my previous blog entry was about a week ago, when do you think we started getting heavy on coding the redesign...about a week ago :)

I have some compartive screenshots to post with notes showing changes we've made to make the blogs and media content more discoverability and overall giving the site some new energy.

And now to catch up on emails and reports and such...but sleep first I will.  but for now if you get the chance, check out 10 and tell us what you think.  Feedback is good...

  1. Congrats on the successful rollout of the 10 site update. I like it! Very simple and easy to use with straight forward navigation. I see you have been very busy - great work.

  2. Nice job! I sent feedback through the 10 contact page so your whole team can see it. I was wondering if you were thinking of adding a gamer blog. I know they're all over the Interweb, so you might not be providing something original but it certainly seems to fit with 10's theme.

  3. Thanks guys!

Regarding the gamer blog idea, we are planning to launch forums in an upcoming release which could provide gamer talk space, but a gamer blog is another idea to think about. thanks for the suggestion.

  4. I know the forums are a popular request from other 10 users, but I can't relate. There are so many other sites with forums, I don't see how Ye Olde Forum fits in with 10's new world ideal. I'm sure other people will use it and love it.

  5. I can see people getting use out of the forums as it would be a great way for users of 10 to get involved and share additional info and insight on technology! It is true that forums are not for everyone though...

  6. The nice thing with forums (and really the only difference) would be that anyone can start a topic of conversation. It also would provide a space for people on 10 to just sit around and talk together about whatever they want. I'm looking forward to it :)

  7. With all the talk of community in today's Show, I can see the importance of a forum. I look forward to seeing you how blend it into your current design.

I also see you re-redesigned the columns on the default page. I preferred the vertical columns, but these are just as useable. Hopefully this look is less overwhelming to those that were getting lost.

  8. I think the columns work both ways, though the vertical orientation did look really good. I do like the how the header changes daily to reflect the content of that days show. This makes it very easy to browse directly to the most current media of the day. No doubt this will be a continual work in progress and it is coming along nicely. The forums should be a very nice edition to the multiple blogs that 10 will be hosting and Im sure you guys will get it all together in due time.
