SilverlightDevCampSeattle merges with BarCamp Seattle

The just recently announced SilverlightDevCamp Seattle has been merged with the upcoming BarCamp Seattle.  They were both on the same weekend and there are only so many geeks in Seattle that like to camp indoors on the weekend, so why not setup one campsite.

The advantage of this is a larger more diverse crowd.  The disadvantage is following the BarCamp style of session scheduling there is no room for giving a special preference to a certain technology.

At this point, I'm just going to refer to it as "BarCamp Seattle with a possibility of Silverlight content".   BCSwaPoSC still sounds like a good time and I plan on camping there for the weekend.

  1. Adam...thanks for link and I love the graphic. After being connected with a bunch of folks in Seattle about the June 12-15 weekend it became apparent to integrate with the Bar Camp Tech Community vs. going it alone as Silverlighters. I think it will be great to mingle with everyone and find out some great information about SL. I expect there to be plenty of room and I'll do my best to help coordinate Silveright interests.

  2. Same as Kurt, I was working on some material to show on the SL event as I will be in town during those days...

I have already added my talk to the list for BarCamp and will broader up a bit the context to webapps + rias (I was thinking on touching a bit on strategies for better improve SEO on Silverlight experiences, looking a bit back to our Wrestling project that is still to come...)

I will be showing a little tool I am working with that improves the web portion... more to come next week ;)

Will love to help with any specifics to SL content if needed. I will arrive to Seattle on the evening of the 12th.

  3. @Kurt Thanks, I'm sure we'll have some interesting conversations while we're there.

@Gilbert That sounds like a good idea, SEO and RIAs is a useful topic.
