Microsoft.com running on ASP.Net 2.0

I received an email today proclaiming that the entire www.microsoft.com site is running live on ASP.NET 2.0. Microsoft.com is the #4-ranked site on the internet in traffic and when they finally flipped the switch to 2.0, there wasn't as much as a hiccup.

Awesome, glad to see ASP.NET 2.0 is almost here.

  1. Thanks for the heads up. I just confirmed that by checking the headers: http://irritatedvowel.com/CS/blogs/pete_browns_blog/archive/2005/09/29/119.aspx

  2. That's kind of weird... Technically, ASP.NET 2.0 is in beta... and Microsoft recommends not running beta products for production use... Should we take this as a sign that .Net 2.0 release is imminent?
