Comic Scry
Photograph your collectibles. Catalog the inventory. Catch the ones that might be worth real money before they get bulk-lotted.
What it does
Open the camera. Point it at a comic. Comic Scry identifies the book, captures condition cues, files it in your inventory, and — if the issue is likely worth something — flags it so you don't accidentally bundle a $400 Silver Age key into a $5 bulk lot.
Not a graded-price calculator. Not a marketplace. A tripwire that catches expensive issues during the messy work of clearing a collection.
Who it's for
- People clearing a house — comics are heavy and a few might be valuable.
- Estate executors who inherited boxes nobody documented.
- Collectors thinning the shelf without paying CGC to grade everything first.
- Comic shops doing intake who want a second set of eyes that doesn't take coffee breaks.
Screenshots
Screenshots land here once they're not from a simulator. Placeholders for now.
Managed-tier waitlist
v1.1 is the managed version: you box up the comics, we do the inventory, you get back a spreadsheet plus a list of issues worth holding back. For people whose answer to "would you like to photograph 4,000 comics" is "no, thank you."
Drop your email and you'll be the first to know when it opens.
Who built it
Adam Kinney. 25 years of platform engineering — Microsoft Learn, Stripe Docs. Comic Scry is the side of the work that's been there the whole time: making tools that close the gap between "I own these things" and "I know what to do with them."
